Alturas Analytics operates in ~19,000 square feet of purpose-built laboratory and office space. The state-of-the-art facilities were built to specification as a bioanalytical research laboratory with comprehensive LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS instrumentation laboratories, spacious sample preparation areas, a dedicated specimen accessioning and processing laboratory, and an ultra-modern temperature monitoring and security system. Alturas is also equipped with Class II Type A biohazard hoods to handle biohazardous materials.
Critical operations are connected to an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) with generator backup to ensure a constant and controlled flow of current. This system-wide UPS provides our sponsors with confidence that data and sample integrity are preserved during unforeseen outages.
Plans for a 2022 expansion are underway for the addition of a new building on the Alturas campus.
Sample Storage and Archives
Alturas Analytics maintains a large freezer storage area with strict temperature requirements (-20° to -70° C) for all study samples, as well as a segregated sample log-in area to handle study sample shipping and receiving. All test facilities, study sample storage and archives enjoy comprehensive electronic monitoring for integrity and security 24/7.
