I hope this letter finds you thriving as we enter into the New Year.

Looking back, 2023 was pivotal for Alturas. It was a year of progressive change, strengthening collaborations with industry leaders in the scientific community, as well as significant involvement in educational and social programs within our own local communities.

I am proud to share Alturas team members contributed throughout the year with presentations and as invited experts during scientific panels at major conferences. Topics spanned diverse issues such as addressing challenges in biomarker analysis; interpretation and reporting of pharmacokinetic data; implementation of new regulatory guidances; security and privacy policies; and workflow efficiencies across all functions of laboratory operation. Engagement in these experiences, insights from the scientific community, and listening to your valuable feedback and suggestions is crucial to our success. Your contributions have been instrumental in shaping our strategies and services over Alturas’ 23 year history.

Alturas remains committed to the well-being of our communities through participation in local and national organizations. This year the company supported numerous causes by hosting a blood drive, providing clothing, toys, and school supplies to those in need, and assisting in scientific and educational programming for elementary school through graduate-level students in the region. I am inspired by the influence, action, and impact each individual brings and the cumulative effect as a team we can have on the future.

Looking ahead to 2024, I am excited about the expansion into our new 17,000 square foot, built-to-specification facility. This extension has provided us the opportunity to plan and incorporate design features to further our efforts of sustainability. The use of recycled building materials in the structure and future installation of solar panels and electric car charging stations further our efforts of offsetting the industry footprint.

Further, we continue to enhance operational efficiency with robotics, invest in leading technologies to address new modalities, and recruit the brightest minds in the industry. These advances increase capacity and our ability to diversify our services for continued growth of the company. Our mission is to leverage our culture and expertise to set the standard for integrity in delivering quality bioanalytical data that empower you to make informed decisions with confidence.

The world is constantly evolving with new challenges and opportunities arising daily.
