Happy New Year! As we enter 2025, our 25th year in business, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredible 2024 and to express my heartfelt gratitude for the trust and partnership shown by you to Alturas Analytics. 2024 was filled with meaningful milestones and achievements, made possible by the continued support of our clients and partners, as well as the incredibly talented and hard-working individuals at Alturas.
Alturas experienced remarkable growth and progress in 2024. The opening of the East Campus Expansion Facility marked a significant step forward, enabling a notable increase not only in number of samples analyzed but also in the growth of our Alturas team (approximately 29%), reaffirming our commitment to advancing science with expertise, efficiency, and quality.
Further, Alturas underscored our organizational commitment to technological advancement by solidifying our microdosing capabilities through the use of three Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC) systems; and strengthened our presence in the industry, both in person and online to ensure accessibility and a proactive approach to addressing our partners’ needs.
A unique highlight of 2024 was Alturas’ participation in the groundbreaking Polaris Dawn mission, which launched on September 10, 2024. This mission represented a leap in space exploration, with the Dragon spacecraft spending five days in orbit. Alturas collaborated with SpaceX, Polaris Dawn, and a consortium of leading institutions on pharmacokinetics research, focusing on how spaceflight affects drug absorption and metabolism.
Prioritizing the support of our regional communities has remained a cornerstone of Alturas’ mission and an integral part of Alturas’ culture. Throughout 2024, Alturas participated in numerous initiatives, including educational and scientific programs for students from grade school to graduate levels, hosting a blood drive, and collecting essential supplies for various local organizations and volunteering at numerous community events and activities.
Looking ahead to 2025, I am thrilled to build on this strong foundation. Through best-in-class technology and our purpose-built expansion facility, we look forward to expanding Alturas’ capabilities, furthering our utilization and integration of automation, as well as broadening our application of AI-enabled software. Alturas is launching a focused, year-round marketing effort to celebrate advancements over the past 25 years, emphasizing expertise in clinical and pre-clinical study support, scientific rigor, organizational stability, and quality. Furthermore, we offer forward-looking insights into emerging scientific trends and explore how they will impact our areas of specialization.
Alturas is centered on delivering organizational stability, innovative solutions to our clients’ scientific needs, unparalleled customer support, and industry leadership to help progress projects to the next stage. We remain committed to listening, learning, and growing with you to ensure this partnership continues to thrive.
