Psychedelics are a class of psychoactive compounds that induce altered states of consciousness through changes in mood, perception, and cognition. There is growing interest in the therapeutic potential of psychedelics to treat psychiatric conditions including post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse.
