Quantifying Multiple Psychedelics from Human Saliva to Support Therapeutic Use Studies

There is growing interest in the therapeutic potential of psychedelics to treat psychiatric conditions. Treating depression, PTSD, addictions, anxiety, OCD disorders and many other crippling mental disorders with psychedelics are in varying stages of clinical research. The people coping with these illnesses may not want to be subjected to intrusive and painful blood draws to measure the dosed compound throughout the study so using saliva as an alternative matrix is a superior method to obtain samples.

This presentation will discuss a a sensitive extraction and LC-MS/MS method developed to measure six psychedelics simultaneously from saliva.
